Frequently asked questions

How can I control my heat pump remotely?

All Norsup inverter and Hydro pro inverter model heat pumps are supplied with a WiFi module. You can control your heat pump remotely using the Aquatemp app.

We highly recommend you connect the heat pump with a WiFi module, so that we can monitor your heat pump remotely from our end check for its working. At times, after close monitoring from our side, recommended editing in parameter values can rectify the fault with the unit thereby saving a lot of time and energy.

What size/capacity of heat pump should I choose?

The size of the heat pump required for your pool mainly depends on two important factors: your geographical location, and the size of the pool. However, there are many other factors as well, like if your pool is indoor/outdoor, what is the material of your pool, if you have a pool cover, what is the desired swimming season, and so on. Our Norsup Heat Pump Configurator mobile app will help you to choose the right heat pump for you.

Can I install the heat pump outdoors?

Yes, all of our heat pumps are designed to go outdoors and are weatherproof. They will operate perfectly well in all weather conditions including heavy rain, wind, etc.

We recommend covering your heat pump with one of our winter covers during winter when the heat pump is not in use. This will give your heat pump some additional protection against the weather.

Should I cover the heat pump in winter?

We recommend covering your heat pump in the winter. However, you should use a suitable cover. The cover should allow the heat pump to breathe so as to escape from moisture and condensation, otherwise, there will be permanent damage like corrosion to the components in your heat pump. We sell a special range of heat pump winter covers tailored to each heat pump model and integrate ventilation mesh panels to allow ventilation.

How long will it take for a heat pump to heat my pool?

This will depend on many factors like the size of your pool, if the pool is indoor or outdoor, your weather condition, if a pool cover is used or not, etc. A properly sized heat pump usually takes 3 to 4 days for initial heat up. After that, the heat pump only needs to work a few hours per day to keep the water at the right temperature.

Why is my heat pump displaying an error code?

Refer to the user manual to see a full list of error codes and solutions.
