ESYBOX - DAB's compact and efficient water booster system

Esybox is a fully integrated system in which the hydraulic components are controlled by a fully programmable frequency regulator. Every component is designed to deliver maximum performance with minimal power use. The newly designed frequency regulator guarantees consistent pressure throughout the system in relation to the desired quantity of water.
Using a frequency regulator considerably:
  • reduces wear and tear,
  • reduces noise levels and power consumption,
  • compact and efficient maximum performance with minimal power use
  •  greatly cuts the costs of use and maintenance
Esybox includes:
  • a self-priming multistage ring section pump with electric converter control, pressure sensors
  • flow sensors,
  • an adjustable high-resolution LCD screen and has a 2-litre expansion vessel incorporated.
These features mean that Esybox is suitable for drinking water, domestic systems and gardens.

Legionella prevention with Dconnect

Stricter rules on legionella prevention apply to a number of businesses and organisations. This applies, for example, to locations with (swimming) pools. A hotbed of legionella bacteria can also develop in hydrophore installations. With DAB pumps' new ESYBOX MAX pressure boosting system, the temperature and flow of drinking water can be measured 24/7 to prevent legionella.

Monitor with cloud service Dconnect

DConnect allows continuous monitoring instead of monthly or annual checks. Moreover, the new cloud service DConnect offers even more advantages. Because with DConnect, the installer or TD can remotely monitor, read out and control the pressure boosting unit. Thus, faults can usually be solved immediately, so that continuity is not compromised. From home, work or travel, DConnect allows remote monitoring and adjustment of DAB pumps wherever there is an internet connection

Achieving climate goals with DAB pumps

As part of the climate goals, CO2 emissions must be reduced. Moreover, existing office buildings must comply with energy label C by 2023. This can be easily achieved by using frequency-controlled pressure boosters and pumps from DAB. Compared to traditional pressure boosters, up to 20% energy savings can be achieved by using a frequency-controlled pressure booster from DAB. The use of DConnect also avoids the need for a technician to visit, thus reducing the number of kilometres driven.

Frequently asked questions

How  do you maintain a pump in the summer?

It is very important that the pump can draw in sufficient water and that it has not drawn in air. Air in the suction line is always a problem and the pump will never reach the desired pressure and capacity. A centrifugal pump can draw in water to a maximum depth of 8 metres. It is important that the suction line is properly closed and that no air can be drawn into the line and/or connection to the pump. This will also greatly affect the operation of the pump. If the groundwater is deeper than 8 meters, a well pump will have to be chosen. A well pump has no suction pipe and can be hung at any desired depth in the well.

How do you maintain a pump in winter?

It is important that the above-ground centrifugal pump is well drained in winter, so that no freezing occurs in the pump housing. This can be done by unscrewing the drain plugs from the pump housing so that the water can drain. Freezing the water in the pump housing can cause a lot of damage, resulting in unnecessary costs. A well pump can hang in the well in winter. It is good to let the pump run for a long time every now and then, so that the pump cannot get stuck.

What is the best way to adjust a pump?

The pump can be equipped with a pressurized water system or another automatic start/stop system With a pressure switch or a pressure regulator on the pump, the pump starts when the pressure in the system falls below the preset value and stops when it reaches the maximum set value. With a frequency control, you simply set the pressure yourself and the pump maintains the set pressure throughout the system, regardless of the liters that are taken. With little water, the pump will run slowly and therefore consume less power, which is a huge energy saving.

How do I know when the capacity and head are in line with the sprinklers and piping system?

To select the right pump, it is important to know what the decrease is at which pressure. Depending on the number of nozzles in combination with the nozzle, the liters per hour are determined. The distance of the spray sample is determined by the nozzle at a certain pressure. It is the sum of the total liters demanded at a given pressure. In the curve table of the pump you can select a pump that fits the correct pressure and litres. If a large pump comes out in the selection, you can also choose to spray in two or more groups so that you can select a smaller pump.

Which pump is most suitable for which situation?

Garden, field, available farming etc. Depending on the size of the garden or field, a correct pump will have to be chosen. For a normal garden, a self-priming jet pump will generally be chosen On a somewhat larger field or nursery with larger sprinklers, a larger centrifugal pump is a good choice. If you go to the large irrigation reels, a large well pump is often chosen.
